Scouts and Guides

Provide your Scouts or Guides with the ultimate outdoor meeting setting, and test their abilities by bringing them to TimberTop Adventures!

In this setting, the climbers will put their minds and bodies to the test, all while working with their team members, and guiding each other through the obstacles. These obstacles embrace the importance of physical fitness.

They will learn to focus and devote their mind and body to completing the courses. They will learn that even if something looks impossible, if you put you mind to it and don’t give up on yourself, you can accomplish anything. This in return bolsters one’s self-confidence and independence. Our courses also underscore the importance of safety when challenging oneself, and prove that fun and work are not mutually exclusive!

The group will help guide their teammates through the courses which will allow them to practice leadership and teamwork. Some of the courses can be difficult for some, therefore this is a great setting to work on helping each other succeed. These courses will emphasize the importance of being part of a team, helping one another, and highlight being a part of a wider community.

Local traditional scouting group leader, David Stonehouse, recently brought his troop (accompanied by other local troops) to our park. According to David:

The kids – and leaders – had an incredible time. What was amazing to me was the kids’ patience and skill in doing it right – that in itself told me how much they were invested.

Safety First

Safety is our number one priority (ensuring you have a good time is a close second!). We use a top-of-the-line Bornack SSB (Smart Safe Belay) carabiner system, which ensures the user can’t accidentally unclip themselves from the safety line while in a course. Climbers are always secured with at least one carabiner until their feet are back on the ground. We also use the latest helmets and full-body harnesses to further ensure your experience is the safest it can be.
In Canada, usually treetop adventure parks opt in to specific safety regulations set by ACCT in the US as a minimum. We do more than simply meet these regulations – in fact, we’ve chosen to build our park to go beyond North American standards. We’ve opted to build and be inspected to the more stringent European safety standards – ones that have been around for nearly 30 years and were created in a place where parks like ours are much more common.
