Group Experiences

Human connection is in our nature.

We’ve all been cooped up inside for a long time. It has been hard to stay truly connected with each other with video calls alone. Now is the time to reconnect and recharge in a fun and active way.

We can brainstorm with you on ways to bring together groups of all ages – from birthday parties and school classes, to business groups and sports teams.  We provide a wonderful setting, surrounded by nature, that gives your group the perfect opportunity to reconnect while having fun.

Let us know about the group event you’d like us to consider and let’s talk about the ways we can make it happen. You can book your event online at any time. However, if your desired day appears as “Unavailable” on our booking calendar and your group is 15 or more  please contact us as we may be able to set up a special private booking for your group.

What was amazing to me was the kids’ patience and skill in doing it right – that, in itself, told me how much they were invested.”

Your Outdoor Classroom

TimberTop Adventures is the perfect place for a day of experiential, outdoor learning. If you’re looking for something to counterbalance learning online then we’ve got it. Navigating our challenging courses can help rebuild confidence and problem-solving skills.

* – We recommend students bring along tight fitting work, gardening or athletic gloves. Please note that, unfortunately due to global supply chain issues, we no longer have the ability to offer gloves for sale at our front desk.

Take class time Outside

Here are some of the things you can teach from your outdoor classroom at TimberTop!

Science: Help students explore the wildlife and ecological ecosystems found in an old-growth forest. Our courses can also provide some unique lessons in engineering and physics. TimberTop is also located within the Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark, a great venue to enable first-hand experience with our local geological history.

Conservation: There’s no better way to learn about why we need to conserve our planet than to interact with nature itself. Use our forest setting to discuss carbon sinks, and how humans and nature live together.

Physical Education: Explore the importance of how an active lifestyle can be a lot of fun, especially with so much time spent online. With varying levels of challenge difficulty, students will test their leg, arm, core strength, endurance, balance, agility, and problem-solving abilities.

Benefits include:

  • Physical activity has been shown to be a key connection to productivity and being in nature has been proven to reduce stress
  • Engage student’s problem solving and perseverance skills
  • Give students the reward that comes from accomplishing something perhaps they didn’t think they could
  • Re-establish a strong bond between students
