Local traditional scouting group leader, David Stonehouse, brought his Timber Wolf troop (accompanied by the Explorer troop) to TimberTop Adventures for some fun in the trees!
David found that the TimberTop experience paired well with the traditional scouting principles.
It helps encourage in youth a respect and appreciation for nature, and it underscores the importance safety when challenging oneself. It teaches youngsters that they can achieve what may at first look impossible, bolstering independence and self confidence. It emphasizes the importance of being part of a team, of helping one another and of being a part of a wider community.
In the TimberTop Adventures setting, the climbers will put their minds and bodies to the test, all while working with their team members, and guiding each other through the obstacles. These obstacles embrace the importance of physical fitness. Our courses also underscore the importance of safety when challenging oneself, and prove that fun and work are not mutually exclusive!
